President Trump has extended the TikTok ban enforcement deadline by 90 days, marking the fourth such delay. This coincides with a newly announced “framework” for a deal between the U.S. and China over the app’s ownership. The ban, passed due to national security concerns over its Chinese parent company ByteDance, requires TikTok to be sold to a U.S. entity. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated a potential agreement is near, with Trump noting “very big companies” are interested in purchasing it.
