US President Donald Trump announced a deal with China to keep TikTok operating in the US, avoiding a ban. The agreement, involving current and new investors, will be finalized in 30-45 days, with Oracle continuing to host US data servers. This follows US national security concerns over data sharing with China. China confirmed a framework that includes licensing TikTok’s algorithm and IP, ensuring its firms’ interests are protected. The ban, initially set for September 17, has been delayed multiple times since January.
